Blackwater Baptized was formed in 2022 by the bands guitarist, singer and songwriter Jeremy Logan. Joined by Greg Fernandez on bass and Shawn Van Wyhe on drums to complete the soulful and bluesy trio. Blackwater Baptized is a rock band with a variety of influences and rooted in the blues. Jeremy says the name Blackwater Baptized is a tribute to God, family, and growing up in the south.

The trio Blackwater Baptized was founded in 2021 by Jeremy Logan (vocals, guitar), Greg Fernandez (bass) and Shawn Van Wyhe (drums). The band name is a tribute to God, family and growing up in the South of the States.

The sound of Blackwater Baptized can be described as extremely relaxed, with the blues mainly reflected in Jeremy Logan's guitar playing.

His Jimi Hendrix-esque guitar work opens the album in Shine Through Us which is the intro for Dance Around The Sun. A wonderfully floating song with intimate bluesy guitar work. Then Letter To My Mother is a relaxed grooving soul blues song that shows slight Robert Cray influences and in which Jerome Logan shows cutting guitar work. All Around You is an atmospheric floating tribute to God and Love.

The trio only shows its harder, grittier side twice. Hold On is a grinding funky blues rock song and the closing Room By The Fire is a viciously raw grooving song.

However, the relaxed sound of Blackwater Baptized prevails, such as in the relaxed blues shuffle Now I Have You and the sparkling Dreams Of An Angel with burning guitar work.
